AccuWeather.com - Brett Anderson | Temperature Trends across Canada since 1948

Apr 20, 2011; 10:06 AM ET
Statistics Canada has been keeping track of the overall and regional temperature trends for Canada, which go back to 1948.
The departures from normal data used in this study were taken directly from the Climate Trends and Variations Bulletin for Canada.
As you can probably guess, the long-term linear temperature trends across Canada have been upward during this 60-year-plus time period.
The temperature anomalies are measured against the 1961-1990 average.
I cannot post the actual graphs, but I will include the links, which will show you the overall warming trend across Canada.

Clearly, the greatest temperature increase since 1948 has occurred during the winter season.
